Powerful and Precise Heavy-Duty Machines of 80 tons, Suitable for high-speed steel and carbide steel cutting tools to perform turning operations on shaft-like parts, cylindrical and disc-shaped parts, including turning the outer circle, end face, grooves, cutting, boring, turning and boring conical surfaces, and using the upper tool rest (through a gear) to turn various threads with lengths shorter than 600 millimeters.. There are three rectangular guide rails on the bed, and the entire bed forms a box shape. There are several longitudinal and transverse ribs inside the bed, which give the bed a high degree of stiffness. At the left end of the bed, a spindle box is installed. The part of the bed beneath the spindle box is an oil tank, used to store the lubricating oil for the spindle box. On the front semi-circular guide rail, the bed saddle and the tool holder are placed, on the rear semi-circular guide rail, the tailstock and the closed center rest are placed. On the front of the bed, a rack for moving the tool holder is installed, and on the inner side of the rear guide rails, racks for moving the tailstock and the center rest are installed. The bed structure is shown in Figure 5.1.

On the foundation at the front of the bed, there are wiring and sliding wire devices. The former provides a fast-moving power supply and control for the tool holder, while the latter provides a power supply for the rapid movement of the tailstock.

The entire bed is supported on the foundation and fastened with anchor bolts. The adjusting support screws on the bed are fixed on the top of the pads pre-embedded in the foundation.

Between the three guide rails of the bed, there is a channel for removing chips. The chips pass through this channel and are discharged into the iron shavings box installed in the pit, and the chips are regularly cleared.
