CNC lathe may appear wear, aging, loosening and other problems after a long time of use. In addition to doing a good job of daily maintenance, you also need to pay attention to the operating methods when using, so that you can extend the use of the lathe time.
Correct programming and debugging
- According to the characteristics of the processed parts and process requirements before use, prepare an efficient and reasonable machining programme. Prevent excessive wear and tear or collision of the moving parts of the machine tool due to procedural problems.
- After the debugging of the program, it is necessary to use the simulation function of the CNC system to simulate the program to run and determine whether the program is correct. In addition, the accuracy and machinability of the programme can be tested before mass production. Operators need to identify and solve potential problems in a timely manner.
Standardise operating procedures
- Operators must familiarise themselves with the operating manual of the CNC lathe and operate in strict accordance with the operating procedures. In all aspects of switching on and off the machine, changing tools, and clamping the workpiece, the steps and requirements should be carried out in accordance with the provisions.
- According to the workpiece material, tool performance and other factors, reasonable selection of cutting speed, feed and depth of cut and other processing parameters. When correctly clamping the workpiece, make sure that the workpiece is firmly clamped and accurately positioned to avoid displacement or vibration during machining.
Enhance equipment maintenance
- After machining every day, clean the chips, oil and dust on the machine table, guideway, screw and other parts of the machine in time to keep the machine clean.
- Regularly test the accuracy of the CNC lathe, such as spindle accuracy, guideway accuracy, positioning accuracy and so on. When the precision deviation is found to be out of the permitted range, make adjustments and repairs in time.
Keep the environment clean
- Keep the environment around the machine clean to avoid dust, oil and other impurities from entering the inside of the machine.
Strengthen personnel training
- Provide professional training for operators of CNC lathes to make them familiar with the performance, operation methods and maintenance knowledge of the machine tools.
- Regularly organise operators to participate in skills enhancement training to learn new knowledge and skills, so that they can better adapt to the production needs, and correctly operate and maintain the new CNC lathe.
